The Saint James Junior Seminary Old Boys Association (SAJSOBA – FA) Support Group for Alia has called on Benue residents at home and in the diaspora to sustain their support for Governor Hyacinth Alia as he seeks re-election in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
The group made the call on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in Makurdi, ahead of the grand opening and commissioning of Deshield Empire – Car Stand, Restaurant and Car Wash, scheduled to hold on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Abuja.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman/Convener, Mr. John Chenge, urged members of SAJSOBA to turn out in large numbers for the occasion, describing it as an opportunity to renew the solidarity and bonds shared by members of the old boys association, encourage young entrepreneurs from the school, and further strengthen their collective engagement in support of Governor Alia.
Chenge described Governor Alia as an open and accessible leader and commended him for what the group described as his interventions across the state, as well as his support for members of the old boys community.
He further urged the Governor to sustain his administration’s delivery of democratic dividends, particularly initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and opportunities available to vulnerable citizens across Benue State.
According to the support group, Governor Alia’s administration has, within the last three years, undertaken an unprecedented number of projects and employment initiatives in the state. The group said it was proud to identify with the Governor on the basis of their shared history as members of the Saint James Junior Seminary old boys community.
The group also encouraged Governor Alia to remain focused on his development agenda and to use constructive criticism and opposing views as motivation to work harder for the people of Benue State.
The SAJSOBA-FA Support Group for Alia reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising members and supporters across Benue and beyond in support of the Governor’s policies and development programmes ahead of the 2027 election.
The group called on its members, particularly youths, to remain actively engaged in promoting peaceful participation, civic responsibility and development-oriented governance throughout the electoral process.
