Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has weighed in on the club’s Premier League title chances, giving the Gunners a slim 20% shot at lifting the trophy this season.

Arsenal had a golden opportunity to close in on league leaders Liverpool after the Reds dropped points in recent matches. However, Mikel Arteta’s side failed to capitalize, falling to a disappointing home defeat against West Ham.

Their title hopes suffered another blow as Liverpool tightened their grip on the top spot, with Mohamed Salah leading them to a crucial 2-0 victory over Manchester City. That result pushed the Reds 11 points clear of second-placed Arsenal, though they have played one more game.

Speaking on beIN SPORTS during halftime at the Etihad, Wenger admitted that Arsenal’s chances are fading fast.

“If Liverpool win today, you could say it’s 80% certain they’ll win the title,” Wenger said.

When asked about Arsenal’s chances, he responded: “You have to keep hope! Maybe I’m being generous, but I’d say 20%.

“With 11 games to go, 11 points ahead, and having lost only one game all season, it’s hard to imagine Liverpool dropping four games in the final stretch.”

With time running out, Arsenal must rediscover their winning form quickly if they want to mount a serious challenge for the crown.
