A heated rental dispute in Pegi, Kuje Area Council, Abuja, took a violent turn when a tenant, Musa Alhassan, allegedly assaulted his landlord, Samson Bako, after finding his room padlocked over unpaid rent.

According to residents, Alhassan, a commercial driver, had been living in the compound for three years but failed to pay rent for over a year despite multiple reminders. Frustrated by the situation, the landlord decided to lock the tenant’s room while he was away at work.
