Paul Okoye, popularly known as RudeBoy, has accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, of being behind the fraud charges filed against their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
Jude was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday over allegations of laundering ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. The case, which also involves his company, Northside Music Ltd, was brought before Justice Alexander Owoeye at the Federal High Court in Lagos. He pleaded not guilty to the seven-count charge and was remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility pending his bail hearing.
Speaking to journalists on Friday outside the court, Paul vowed to stand by Jude, insisting that both he and Peter were equally involved in the transactions being questioned.
“I’m supporting him because I know the truth,” Paul declared. “Peter is the one putting Jude through these things. He is the one sending him to prison, and I’m here to get him out. The same crime they are accusing him of, Peter and I are also guilty of it.”
The unfolding drama adds a new chapter to the long-standing rift between the P-Square brothers, further deepening tensions within the once-iconic music duo.
