Among the destroyed pharmaceuticals were banned substances like Analgin and highly controlled drugs such as Tramadol 225mg, which are known for their abuse and illicit trade. Prof. Adeyeye described the discovery of these illegal drugs as “deeply troubling” and a major threat to public safety and national security.

“This operation would not have been possible without the support of the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who approved the deployment of over 1,000 security personnel, including the Military, Police, and DSS,” she stated.
