The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche, has recorded another major milestone in his administration’s commitment to improving critical infrastructure with the successful connection of several communities to the 33kVA electricity distribution network, a strategic intervention designed to enhance power supply across the Local Government.
The project, which included the installation of a 33kVA gang isolator at Rijo, represents a significant upgrade to the existing electricity infrastructure. The new facility will improve the efficiency, stability, and operational flexibility of the power distribution network, resulting in better voltage regulation and reduced power outages.
Communities expected to benefit directly from the intervention include Ogi, Ikpomolokpo, Watuolo, and Rijo, where residents and businesses have endured years of inadequate and unstable electricity supply. The connection of these communities to the upgraded 33kVA network is expected to stimulate commercial activities, improve access to essential services, and enhance the overall quality of life.
Speaking on the project, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche stated that the intervention reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing longstanding infrastructure challenges across Ado Local Government Area. Having been well acquainted with the electricity challenges affecting the benefiting communities, he emphasised that the upgrade was conceived as a practical and sustainable solution to improve power supply, stimulate economic activities, support education and healthcare services, and enhance the overall quality of life of the people. He reaffirmed that providing essential infrastructure remains a priority of his administration’s people-centred development agenda.
The Chairman commended the engineers and technical personnel whose expertise and dedication ensured the successful execution of the project. He expressed confidence that the upgraded network would provide lasting benefits and significantly strengthen electricity supply within the affected communities.
Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that address the needs of the grassroots and improve public infrastructure across Ado Local Government Area. He further emphasised that his administration will continue to complement the development vision of the Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr.
