The SAJSOBA for Fr. Alia Support Group (SAJSOBA-FA) welcomes the assessment visit to the Makurdi–Naka Road by officials of the Federal Ministry of Works, Abuja, in collaboration with their counterparts from the Benue State Ministry of Works, following the directive of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Executive Governor of Benue State.
The visit represents an important step in the technical assessment and administrative processes required to advance the proposed construction of the road. It also reflects ongoing efforts to address critical infrastructure needs and improve road connectivity across the state.
The Makurdi–Naka Road is a vital transportation route for the people of Gwer West and neighbouring communities. Its construction will significantly improve accessibility, facilitate the movement of people and goods, strengthen commercial activities, and contribute to improved security and socioeconomic development in the benefiting communities.
SAJSOBA-FA commends Governor Alia for his continued commitment to infrastructural development and his efforts to pursue projects capable of delivering tangible benefits to the people of Benue State. The Group recognises the importance of collaboration between the federal and state governments in advancing critical infrastructure projects of this nature.
While acknowledging that the assessment visit is part of the preparatory process towards construction, SAJSOBA-FA expresses optimism that the necessary technical evaluations, approvals, and other requirements will be diligently pursued to facilitate the timely commencement of work on the road.
