Peter Obi Shuts Down Exit Rumors: ‘I’m Not Leaving Labour Party’

Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, has firmly rejected speculation that he plans to leave the party. Addressing party members during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Obi emphasized that he has had no discussions with anyone about departing from the Labour Party.

The former governor of Anambra State clarified, “I’ve not told anybody that I’m leaving the Labour Party,” and assured members that any future decisions about the party’s direction would involve consultations with key stakeholders.

His remarks came as a response to ongoing rumors, putting to rest any doubts about his commitment to the party’s cause.
