A quiet community in Benue State was shaken after a high school teacher was shot and killed following an argument with a Civil Protection Guard commander. The incident has left residents baffled as to how a simple disagreement escalated into a fatal event.

The teacher, identified as Simon Iorkase, reportedly had an argument with the guard commander in Abaji-Kpav, Tordonga area, in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. What began as a verbal exchange reportedly turned into a physical confrontation, drawing the attention of neighbors.
