NEW YEAR MESSAGE: Ado LG Chairman Calls for Unity, Security, and Renewed Commitment to Grassroots Development

The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Engr. Sunny Oche, extends warm greetings to all residents of the Local Government; civil servants and political appointees, farmers, youths, women, elders, traditional rulers, and community leaders.

According to the Chairman, the new year presents a renewed opportunity to strengthen unity, reaffirm shared values, and deepen people-centred governance that truly serves the grassroots. He noted that the experiences of the past year have further reinforced his conviction that leadership must remain responsive, inclusive, and firm on issues that directly affect the welfare of the people.

Engr. Sunny Oche reaffirmed that security remains a top priority of his administration. He stated that deliberate efforts have continued toward strengthening the local security architecture through sustained collaboration with security agencies, traditional institutions, and community-based vigilance groups. These measures, he explained, are aimed at safeguarding lives and property, enhancing early warning and intelligence sharing, and ensuring that communities remain safe for farming, trade, and everyday activities.

Beyond security, the Chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, youth engagement, and social welfare. He disclosed that the focus for 2026 is to consolidate peace, support local livelihoods, promote accountability in governance, and encourage active citizen participation in community development.
