A new chapter has opened for rising Nigerian soccer talent Mary Yunusa, written with courage, hard work, and big dreams.
The Inspiration Sports Academy star from Gwagwalada signed her first professional contract with Cameroonian women’s team ITA Nbong FC, playing in the First Division, after a successful trial period that convinced the club she was ready for the big stage.
Mary was officially presented by the top-tier club, a moment that marks a huge step forward not only for the young player but also for the local academy that shaped her journey.
Confirming the transfer, Inspiration Sports Academy manager Kayode Olugbenga revealed that Mary will remain at the club until the end of the current season. According to him, her versatility, discipline, and confidence on the ball immediately caught the attention of the technical team. “She’s a versatile player who performed very well during her trials. This opportunity will undoubtedly allow her to achieve even greater success in her football career,” said Olugbenga.
For Inspiration Sports Academy, the transfer is more than just a contract; it’s a confirmation of their long-standing commitment to developing young female footballers and opening doors beyond Nigeria’s borders.
