Dreams built on the dusty training pitches of Gwagwalada are once again pushing boundaries.
Esther Okon, one of the brilliant Player of Inspiration Sports Academy, has taken a bold step in her football career, signing her first professional contract with Cameroonian club ITA Nbong FC.
For the young right back, this transfer is more than just a transfer, it’s a reward for years of discipline, patience, and relentless work behind the scenes. After passing trials with the club, Esther has done enough to convince the coaching staff that she deserves a place in the professional ranks.
Confirming the breakthrough, Inspiration Sports Academy manager Kayode Olugbenga said the player will remain at ITA Nbong FC until the end of the current season.
According to him, Esther’s flexibility, maturity, and work ethic made the difference.
“During trials, she impressed the technical team with her versatility, discipline, and overall effectiveness,” Olugbenga explained. “We are confident that this move will help her develop and open up even greater career opportunities.”
The transfer is another source of pride for the Abuja-based academy, which continues to build a strong reputation for providing young female footballers with opportunities to develop beyond Nigeria’s borders.
At the academy, Esther’s success is already igniting a flame of faith among the younger players, who now see further proof that professional football is not a distant dream, but an achievable goal.
