Prophet Ebuka Obi, founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, has set the record straight on a viral controversy surrounding a woman who falsely claimed in a testimony that she had purchased a ₦500 million house.
Addressing the issue during the Night of Open Heaven program, Prophet Obi distanced himself and his ministry from the woman’s fabricated claims, emphasizing that she lied to God, not the church.
“Do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If the house she claimed to own is fake, then she lied before God and His altar—not the ministry,” he declared.
The prophet also alleged that a rival clergyman from the East had sponsored bloggers to blow the controversy out of proportion.
“I said it last month that my name would be all over the media, that the media would be shaking, making it look real—but it’s all fake,” he added, hinting at a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
Obi assured his followers that his ministry remains focused on its mission and vowed to trace the woman behind the misleading testimony.
