Betrayed for Bitcoin: Woman, Brother Arrested for Robbing Boyfriend of iPhones, ₦15M Crypto

A shocking case of love and betrayal unfolded in Lagos as a 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly orchestrating a daring robbery against her own boyfriend. With the help of her 22-year-old brother and an accomplice still at large, she reportedly stole three iPhones and Bitcoin worth ₦15 million.

Confirming the incident, Lagos State Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin revealed that the boyfriend filed a report at the Okota Police Division on February 17, prompting swift action from law enforcement.

“Following the complaint, the woman was arrested, and during interrogation, she confessed to the crime,” Hundeyin stated.

Further investigations led officers to her younger brother, who was also taken into custody. Both siblings admitted to their involvement, and authorities have since recovered all the stolen phones along with ₦6.5 million.

Police are intensifying efforts to track down the remaining suspect as the investigation continues.
