Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that defenders Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are fit and available for selection ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
Amorin provided updates on the fitness of several injured players, including England left-back Luke Shaw, who has returned to training but is still working on his fitness before rejoining the first-team action.
Leny Yoro, who has struggled with injuries since his summer move from Lille, is finally set to return after being sidelined since March 9 with a foot injury sustained during United’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Maguire, who has been out since February due to a calf issue, will also be back in action, strengthening the defense for the Red Devils as they prepare for a crucial match.
“Luke [Shaw] is not ready yet. We are starting to do some drills with the team, but we are still building him up,” Amorim said.
The manager also offered updates on other squad members, including Mason Mount, who is feeling better but has been limited to bench duty recently, and Kobbie Mainoo, who is almost fully recovered.
“Jonny [Evans] is recovering, Lisandro Martínez is out, but both Maguire and Yoro are good to go for the game,” Amorim added, signaling a boost for Manchester United’s defensive lineup.
With key players returning to fitness, United will be aiming to strengthen their position as they face a pivotal match against Nottingham Forest.
