Mr. Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has passed away in the United Kingdom after battling a prolonged illness. The 56-year-old, hailing from Ijebu-Itele in Ijebu East Local Government Area, was a key figure in both the party and the state.
In a heartfelt statement, his family shared the sorrowful news: “It is with deep sorrow and total submission to the divine will of Almighty Allah that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, brother, and esteemed leader, Alhaji Abdulraheem Olatunde Ayinde Oladunjoye, who returned to his Lord on Friday, 4th April 2025.” Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun expressed profound grief over the loss, calling Oladunjoye’s passing a devastating blow to both the party and the state. “This tragic news is hard to believe,” the governor said. “Tunde Oladunjoye was an irreplaceable voice for our party, defending the government’s policies and image with unmatched passion and loyalty.”
Governor Abiodun went on to praise Oladunjoye’s work ethic, describing him as “uncommonly cerebral” and “the best spokesman Ogun APC has ever had.” He further extended his condolences to Oladunjoye’s family, the Ogun APC family, and all who worked closely with him, describing him as a “good man who will be sorely missed.”
Before his time as the APC spokesperson, Oladunjoye served as Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, leaving a lasting impact on the community and the state.
