Ruben Amorim’s future as Manchester United manager is already under intense scrutiny, just three months after his appointment. Reports suggest he may have lost the dressing room, raising serious concerns about his ability to turn things around.

The 39-year-old arrived at Old Trafford with high expectations after a successful tenure at Sporting Lisbon, where he won two Primeira Liga titles and nurtured top talents like Viktor Gyokeres. However, his time in Manchester has been nothing short of disastrous.

With a win rate of just 43%, one of the worst in United’s history, Amorim’s team has plummeted to 15th in the Premier League table. Comparatively, his predecessor, Erik ten Hag, managed a 54.7% win rate before being sacked.

Dressing Room Turmoil?

Former Arsenal star Martin Keown believes there are major issues behind the scenes at United. Speaking on TalkSport, Keown questioned whether the players believe in Amorim’s tactics.

“I don’t think they are tuned in and believe everything. There must be an issue,” he said.

Keown also criticized Amorim’s decision-making, particularly his tactics in United’s recent 1-0 loss to Tottenham. He highlighted the struggles of Casemiro in midfield, the lack of structure, and Bruno Fernandes’ ineffective performance.

Pressure Mounting on Amorim

With just four wins in 14 league games and growing unrest among fans, Amorim is walking a thin line. United’s next challenge comes against Everton at Goodison Park, a must-win match if he hopes to silence the doubters and avoid further crisis.
