In a major legal move, the Federal Government of Nigeria has filed a lawsuit against cryptocurrency giant Binance Holdings Limited. The government is seeking a staggering $79.51 billion in damages, alleging economic harm caused by Binance’s activities in the country. Additionally, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is demanding $2.001 billion in unpaid income taxes for the years 2022 and 2023, in a case marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1444/2024.
