The Lagos State House of Assembly’s workers’ union has issued a strong call for the immediate release of three staff members detained by the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to reports, the DSS arrested the staff last Friday following an incident at the Assembly earlier in the week. The operatives had reportedly stormed the premises, citing an official invitation.

Speaking on the matter, Babatunde Ogunlana, Chairman of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Lagos Chapter, called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the DSS Director-General, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and other key authorities to intervene without delay.

Ogunlana made it clear that the union would not back down, boldly declaring: “No Retreat, No Surrender.”
