The Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Engr. Sunny Oche, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Alfred Ogaba Isenyo Obande (Ogaba–Eka), who peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, 14th April 2026, at his residence in Elikizi Compound, Igumale.

In a condolence message, the Chairman described the late Chief Alfred Ogaba Isenyo Obande as a revered elder whose life was defined by dignity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to community values. He noted that the deceased’s legacy of service and leadership will continue to resonate within Ado Local Government and beyond.

Engr. Oche, on behalf of the government and the good people of Ado Local Government Area, extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, Prince Omoi Obande, the entire Obande Dynasty, as well as family members, friends, and associates of the deceased. He prayed that Almighty God grant the family the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and that the soul of the departed find eternal rest.

Further burial arrangements, according to the family, will be announced in due course.
