From my personal observation and understanding, Mr. Yambasu Alfred Ede is not just a man of success, but a man of purpose, consistency, and unwavering commitment. His life journey speaks volumes about resilience, discipline, and the power of staying true to one’s dreams despite the odds.
Born and raised in Makurdi, Benue State, his story reflects the strength of character built through persistence. He has demonstrated over time that true greatness is achieved through steadfast dedication, continuous growth, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.
What stands out most to me is his steadfastness and consistency in vision. Many begin with enthusiasm, but very few sustain it. Mr. Yambasu has proven himself to be a man who remains focused, committed, and unshaken even in the face of challenges.
His professional journey—from Nokia Mobile Nigeria to becoming a Regional Manager at Huawei Technologies, where he oversaw operations across multiple states in North-Central Nigeria—clearly shows discipline, competence, and strong leadership capacity.
In the area of entrepreneurship, I strongly commend his boldness and foresight. His diversification into sectors such as telecommunications, hospitality, fashion retail, construction, real estate, oil & gas, agribusiness, and logistics reflects a strategic mindset and an eye for opportunity. Through ventures such as Villa Kalahari, Shoes&More.ng, and Godman Solutions Limited, he continues to create value and drive economic growth.
Notably, in the case of Shoes&More.ng, I had the privilege of personally bringing this digital vision to life through my IT company, Udonu WebTech Consultancy, where I designed and developed the e-commerce platform to further digitize and scale the business. This innovation significantly improved its online visibility, customer accessibility, and operational efficiency, positioning it competitively within the digital marketplace. It stands as a clear example of how strategic technology deployment and collaboration can enhance business sustainability and growth.
More importantly, what truly defines him is his heart for humanity. Through the Alfred Yambasu Hope Foundation (AYHF), he has demonstrated that leadership goes beyond personal success—it is about impacting lives and restoring hope. His philanthropic efforts continue to uplift vulnerable communities through empowerment and humanitarian outreach.
I must emphasize that his strength lies in his steadfastness of character. In a time where many give up easily, he remains focused, resilient, and committed to his purpose. He does not retreat in the face of challenges; instead, he pushes forward with determination and clarity.
As a devoted husband to Mrs. Grace Ogwo Yambasu and a loving father to Gabriella and El-Nathan, he exemplifies balance, integrity, and responsibility. His life is a reflection of purposeful leadership and legacy building.
