2026/27 Ghana Premier League Starts in September
The new Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin between September 4 and September 7, 2026.
The 2026/27 campaign will run for 30 weeks and is expected to conclude between May 28 and May 31, 2027.

GFA Focuses on Venue Standards
The approval of the 14 venues is an important part of the preparations for the new campaign.

The process helps establish that participating clubs have appropriate facilities available for their home fixtures before the season begins.
Fans Prepare for Another Ghana Premier League Campaign
With the approved venues now confirmed, attention will increasingly turn toward the opening fixtures of the 2026/27 season.
The GFA has also announced broadcast selections for the opening matchday. Two fixtures are scheduled to be shown live on TV3 and Onua TV, with additional streaming available through Adesa+.
Among the opening-weekend fixtures announced are Port City vs FC AshantiGold at Nana Boamah Darko II Park on September 5 and Hearts of Oak vs Berekum Chelsea at Accra Sports Stadium on September 6.
Conclusion
The Ghana Football Association’s approval of 14 venues represents another key step toward the start of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
With the campaign scheduled to begin in early September and run through May 2027, clubs and supporters can now prepare for another 30-week battle for points, positions and the league title.
The GFA’s venue inspections and licensing process will remain an important part of ensuring that matches are hosted at approved facilities throughout the season.
