The Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering and developing Benue youths, both within the state and in the diaspora.
Governor Alia gave the assurance on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the grand opening and commissioning of Deshield Empire Car Stand, Restaurant and Car Wash in Abuja.
Represented at the event by his Deputy Governor, the Governor commended the Chief Executive Officer of Deshield Empire, Mr Dooter Igbudu, for his commitment, determination and entrepreneurial drive. He urged the company to prioritise the employment of qualified Benue youths across its branches as the business expands.
Governor Alia encouraged Benue youths to embrace hard work, entrepreneurship and self-employment, while investing in personal development and exploring opportunities in the private sector. He reiterated that his administration remains youth-friendly and committed to supporting enterprising young people to develop their skills, pursue their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
The Governor also commended Mr Igbudu as a proud member of the Saint James Junior Seminary Old Boys Association (SAJSOBA). He urged members of the association to remain committed to their respective careers and businesses, support one another and continue to promote peace, unity and progress within the association.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Deshield Empire, Mr Dooter Igbudu, expressed appreciation to Governor Alia for his support and encouragement, noting that the Governor’s presence through his Deputy Governor, as well as the large turnout of Benue youths at the event, was a source of inspiration and gave him a strong sense of belonging.
Mr Gbudu also called on Benue youths to embrace peaceful political engagement and reject thuggery and other forms of violence. He urged young people to look beyond political sentiments and support initiatives and policies they believe will advance the development of Benue State. He further expressed support for Governor Alia’s re-election, stating that, in his view, the state is experiencing transformation and renewed economic activity across various sectors.
The event, according to SAJSOBA Support for Alia, featured presentations on strategies for promoting Governor Alia’s achievements and programmes, goodwill and speech presentations, a tour of the Deshield Empire facilities, and a social gathering.

The governor has been doing well with Benue State. If other previous one gave in all as Alia is doing, Benue would have been one of the topping state in Nigeria in terms of development, employment and infrastructure.
Governor Alia is a God sent 2027 we shall vote him again and again time allows it.
