The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has embarked on a strategic tour where the COAS visits Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III. This significant meeting took place on Friday, December 26, 2025. It occurred at the Sultan’s palace in Sokoto State. Furthermore, the visit highlights the military’s renewed strategy to integrate traditional institutions into the national security architecture.
