The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a strong warning to the general public, party members, and supporters regarding the circulation of ADC fake membership registration links. The party clarified that it has not yet launched any online platform for membership registration and urged Nigerians to disregard any websites or social media accounts claiming otherwise. This alert comes as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections and seeks to protect its integrity against fraudulent activities.
In a statement released on Sunday via X (formerly Twitter), the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, emphasized that there is currently no official registration link open to the public. The party is actively working on a secure registration and verification platform, which will be announced through verified channels in due course. The leadership explicitly advised against clicking on suspicious links or providing sensitive personal information such as names, phone numbers, Permanent Voter Card (PVC) details, or Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) to unverified sources. Furthermore, the party stressed that it would never request payments through unofficial channels or third-party websites.
This is not the first time the party has had to address such issues; in July 2025, the ADC disowned a fake list of state chairmen and cautioned against unauthorized online registration platforms designed to defraud citizens. The party reiterated that all legitimate announcements, including the launch of the official membership portal, will be communicated solely through verified ADC platforms. The ADC assured the public that it is taking necessary steps to address these recurring scams and protect unsuspecting individuals from falling victim to fraudsters.
