JAMB Wraps Up 2025 UTME Registration as Over 2 Million Candidates Sign Up

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially closed registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a record-breaking 2,030,627 candidates set to sit for the exam on April 25.

JAMB had earlier announced that the registration, which began on February 3, would close on March 8 with no extension, and it has now confirmed that preparations for the nationwide exam are in full swing.

Meanwhile, 200,115 candidates have opted to take the mock UTME scheduled for April 5, while 630 candidates have registered for a special trial mock exam on the same day.

In its weekly bulletin released on Monday, JAMB highlighted new security measures aimed at curbing exam malpractice and enhancing the integrity of the UTME. These measures have already led to the arrest of multiple candidates attempting to use forged A-level results for admission.

JAMB urged all registered candidates to comply with exam regulations and warned against any form of malpractice, emphasizing that its upgraded security systems will detect fraudulent activities.
