Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

El-Rufai made the announcement on Monday, citing growing dissatisfaction with the APC’s leadership and direction. According to sources close to the former governor, El-Rufai had been a vocal critic of the APC’s handling of key issues, including the economy and security.
