In a major push to strengthen Nigeria’s higher education system, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has unveiled its 2025 intervention plan, allocating a whopping N2.86 billion to each public university. Polytechnics will receive N1.99 billion, while colleges of education are set to get N2.18 billion.

TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, disclosed this at a strategic workshop in Abuja, emphasizing the fund’s commitment to infrastructure, research, and innovation.

Echono urged institutions to fully utilize previous allocations while exploring private-sector partnerships to reduce reliance on government funding.
