Nigerian singer Naira Marley has called for understanding and forgiveness, urging people to judge him for his actions, not his religion.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the controversial artist highlighted Islam’s emphasis on forgiveness, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Acknowledging that humans are imperfect, Naira Marley stated, “Islam is perfect, Muslims are not. If I make a mistake, blame me, but not my religion.”
His statement comes amid ongoing public scrutiny, as he reminds critics to separate personal missteps from religious beliefs.
