The stakes have never been higher for club football! FIFA has officially announced that the winner of the newly expanded 2025 Club World Cup in the United States will walk away with up to $125 million, making it the most lucrative club competition yet.
With a massive $1 billion prize pool, FIFA has outlined the breakdown for the 32 participating teams in the tournament, set to take place from June 14 to July 13.
Guaranteed Payouts for All Teams – Each club will receive a share of $525 million just for participating, with another $475 million to be distributed based on performance.
Europe Leads the Money Race – European clubs will pocket between $12.81 million and $38.19 million, depending on sporting and commercial factors. South American teams will each earn $15.21 million, while clubs from North and Central America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa will receive $9.55 million each.
Auckland City’s Special Cut – The Oceania representative, Auckland City, will take home $3.58 million for participating.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino called this “the biggest prize money ever awarded in a competition with both group and knockout stages.” He also highlighted an additional $250 million solidarity program aimed at supporting global football development.
