Nigerian travel content creator Alma Asinobi has etched her name in history, carrying the Nigerian flag across all seven continents in a record-breaking journey. After an intense 71 hours, 26 minutes, and 25 seconds of relentless travel, she landed in Sydney, completing her adventure across Antarctica, South America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and finally, Australia.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate her achievement, she wrote, “Our Nigerian flag is officially the first and fastest flag to visit all seven continents! I guess my work here is done. I cannot wait to be home!”

But the journey wasn’t smooth sailing. Asinobi faced numerous hurdles, including visa challenges, flight delays, and restrictions tied to her Nigerian passport. One of the most difficult moments came when she was denied boarding on a flight to Perth, forcing her to rebook a later flight to Sydney, delaying her arrival.

After days of constant movement, she admitted that exhaustion took its toll. Even in her sleep, the intensity of the trip lingered. “Gosh… Continent 8 (Dreamland) was kind to me. No visas needed, no flights required—just a bed. To be honest, any bed would have been fine. I just needed my swollen feet to not move for a few hours,” she shared.

While she may not have broken the official world record of 64 hours set by American veteran Johnny Cruz Buckingham, Asinobi’s accomplishment remains a groundbreaking feat, sparking conversations about passport inequality and the challenges Nigerians face in global travel.

Now, Asinobi is set to return home in grand style, with a homecoming event on March 30, where she hopes to make history once again—this time by gathering Nigerians to sign the very flag that journeyed across the world with her.
