Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has strongly disowned AI-generated videos falsely portraying him as endorsing certain drugs and scholarship schemes.

Taking to his X account, Adeboye warned against deceptive posts from pages like Africa Health Centre and Church-Funded Scholarships, urging the public to ignore and report them.

“These videos are NOT from me, and I have no involvement in such promotions,” he stated, emphasizing that authorities are already addressing the issue.

With AI-generated deepfake videos on the rise, many public figures, including politicians and celebrities, have been victims of misinformation campaigns. Adeboye urged caution, stressing that the misuse of God’s name for fraud is unacceptable.
