The UEFA Champions League last-16 draw has served up some blockbuster matchups, with Liverpool set to clash with French giants Paris Saint-Germain, while Real Madrid will face city rivals Atletico in a fiery Madrid derby.
Liverpool, who topped the league phase, will travel to the Parc des Princes for the first leg on March 4 or 5, before hosting PSG at Anfield a week later. The two sides last met in the 2018/19 group stage, where they split wins in thrilling encounters.
Defending champions Real Madrid, meanwhile, will renew their rivalry with Atletico Madrid in a rematch of the 2014 and 2016 finals, both of which were won by Los Blancos.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich will take on Bayer Leverkusen in an all-German showdown, while Arsenal meet Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. Serie A leaders Inter Milan will face Feyenoord, and Barcelona will take on Portuguese powerhouse Benfica.
Aston Villa, making waves in Europe, will square off against Club Brugge, while last season’s runners-up Borussia Dortmund go head-to-head with Lille.
