Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Nde David Paradang, calling it a huge loss to the state and the nation.

In a heartfelt statement by his spokesperson, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang described Paradang as a symbol of hope, integrity, and professionalism, whose contributions to national security and governance were invaluable.

“Paradang was a distinguished patriot and a selfless leader whose dedication to securing Nigeria’s borders left a lasting impact. His wisdom, discipline, and commitment to peace and good governance shaped both Plateau State and the nation,” the governor stated.

He extended his condolences to the Paradang family, the Ngas community, and all who mourn his painful loss, praying for strength and comfort in this difficult time.

Ngas Community Calls for Swift Justice

Meanwhile, Paradang’s tribesmen, under the Ngas Development Association (NDA), have demanded justice, urging the Inspector General of Police and the Department of State Services (DSS) to uncover the truth behind his tragic death.

In a statement by NDA’s National Publicity Secretary, Andrew Gogwim, the group expressed outrage over how Paradang was allegedly murdered in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

“How can ordinary Nigerians feel safe when a high-ranking former official can be killed so easily in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory?” the NDA questioned.

The association also criticized the conflicting reports surrounding his death but expressed confidence in law enforcement agencies to unravel the mystery and swiftly bring those responsible to justice.

To honor Paradang’s memory, the NDA urged all Ngas sons and daughters to refrain from making social media posts about the case while investigations are ongoing.

The tragic loss of Nde David Paradang has sent shockwaves across Plateau State and beyond, with many calling for urgent answers and action.
