2024 NFL Mock Draft: First-Round Predictions

The 2024 NFL Draft is upon us, and the FTRS staff is back with their annual mock draft. This year, due to limited availability, the staff has focused only on the first round. Fortunately, every NFL team holds a first-round pick, making it a great year for predictions.
Here’s how the first round shakes out, with picks made based on the teams’ needs and available talent.
1. Tennessee Titans – Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
The Titans need help in multiple areas, but they decide to secure the best pass rusher in the draft, Abdul Carter. Tennessee holds firm and opts for the best available defender instead of risking a potential bust.
2. Cleveland Browns – Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
The Browns bypass a quarterback selection and instead grab Travis Hunter, one of the most athletic prospects of the draft. Hunter will help improve their defense and contribute offensively at wide receiver.
3. New York Giants – Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Giants are desperate for a quarterback, and despite concerns, they invest in Cam Ward. He has high potential but comes with risks, making him a gamble for New York.
4. New England Patriots – Will Campbell, OT, LSU
New England selects Will Campbell, a top offensive tackle prospect, to protect their future quarterback. Campbell should be a key part of their offensive line for years to come.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars – Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Jacksonville solidifies their defensive front with Mason Graham, a dominant force in college football. This pick addresses a key need and provides a great player to anchor their defense.
6. Las Vegas Raiders – Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Raiders pick up Ashton Jeanty, a running back who will provide an immediate impact to their offense. Jeanty is a standout playmaker with incredible vision and speed.
7. New York Jets – Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

9. New Orleans Saints – Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
The Saints address their offensive line by selecting Armand Membou. After the loss of star tackle Ryan Ramczyk, New Orleans adds much-needed depth to protect their quarterback.
10. Chicago Bears – Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
The Bears add pass rusher Jalon Walker, a promising edge defender with high upside. Chicago opts to fortify their defense while focusing on other areas in later rounds.
11. San Francisco 49ers – Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
San Francisco strengthens their defensive line by selecting Walter Nolen, a highly regarded defensive tackle. Nolen will help fortify the middle of their defense.
12. Dallas Cowboys – Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
Dallas grabs running back Omarion Hampton, a dynamic playmaker who will immediately improve their backfield. This pick addresses the Cowboys’ ongoing search for a reliable running back.
13. Miami Dolphins – Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Miami adds Will Johnson, a cornerback from Michigan, to improve their defense. Johnson is an excellent value pick at this spot and will be a significant contributor to the Dolphins’ secondary.
14. Indianapolis Colts – Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

16. Arizona Cardinals – Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

17. Cincinnati Bengals – Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Cincinnati strengthens their defense by selecting cornerback Jahdae Barron. Barron is a high-value pick and addresses an important need for the Bengals.
18. Seattle Seahawks – Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
Seattle opts to improve their offensive line by selecting guard Tyler Booker. Protecting their quarterbacks is critical, and Booker provides solid support.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
The Buccaneers add Donovan Ezeiruaku to boost their pass rush. Ezeiruaku had a standout season with 16.5 sacks and will make an immediate impact.
20. Denver Broncos – Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Denver picks wide receiver Luther Burden III, a highly athletic playmaker. Burden will be a great asset for the Broncos’ young quarterback.
21. Carolina Panthers (via trade) – Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Panthers trade up to select wide receiver Matthew Golden. Golden is a polished prospect who can help Bryce Young immediately.
22. Los Angeles Chargers – Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Chargers select tight end Colston Loveland, adding a big and athletic target for Justin Herbert. Loveland provides an excellent weapon in the passing game.
23. Green Bay Packers – Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
Green Bay strengthens their defensive line by selecting Derrick Harmon. Harmon has the size and athleticism to make an immediate impact in the NFL.
24. Minnesota Vikings – Treveyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
The Vikings add running back Treveyon Henderson to help support their young quarterback, J.J. McCarthy. Henderson is one of the most exciting backs in the draft.
25. Houston Texans – Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Houston adds wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to their offense. While not a pressing need, Egbuka provides a talented option alongside Stroud.
26. Los Angeles Rams – Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
The Rams select safety Nick Emmanwori to strengthen their secondary. Emmanwori is one of the best available prospects at this position.
27. Baltimore Ravens – Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Baltimore picks safety Malaki Starks to add depth and talent to their secondary. Starks should be a solid contributor alongside Kyle Hamilton.
28. Detroit Lions – Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Detroit selects edge rusher Mykel Williams, a high-ceiling prospect with great athleticism. Williams offers potential that could pay off down the line.
29. Washington Commanders – Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
Washington takes offensive tackle Kelvin Banks to bolster their offensive line and provide better protection for their quarterbacks.
30. Buffalo Bills – Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
Buffalo strengthens their defensive line by selecting defensive tackle Kenneth Grant. Grant is an excellent pick to help improve their front seven.
31. Kansas City Chiefs – Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall
The Chiefs grab edge rusher Mike Green, who led the country in sacks in 2024. Despite off-field concerns, Green brings potential as a pass-rusher.
32. Philadelphia Eagles – Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Philadelphia secures offensive tackle Josh Simmons, a strong addition to their offensive line. Simmons will help provide stability and depth.
