One thing that didn’t sit well with the Seahawks? The timing of the trade request going public. On the same day Seattle planned to honor longtime receiver Tyler Lockett following his release, news of Metcalf’s request stole the headlines.
“Probably not intentional, but very disappointing,” Schneider admitted. “We wanted this to be Tyler Lockett Day… but instead, the TVs were all about DK. Honestly, it kind of correlates with Tyler’s whole career—one of the most underrated wide receivers in NFL history.”
