Activist Omoyele Sowore has made new claims concerning a high-end hotel in Port Harcourt allegedly owned by Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, currently Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stating that the least expensive room at the hotel reportedly goes for ₦250,000 per night.

Sowore’s assertion, shared via his social media handles, states that the facility underscores what’s described as Wike’s opulent lifestyle and alleged misuse of office. However, as of this writing, Sowore has not provided verifiable documentation to support the hotel’s ownership by Wike or confirmation of the room rates.

In response, Wike’s senior special assistant on Social Media, Lere Olayinka, dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. Olayinka stated that Sowore often uses “mind games” to distract Nigerians from what Wike’s office says are more substantive corruption allegations against the activist.
