Ado Local Government First Lady Commends Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, For Her Impactful Visit to Benue State

The Wife of the Chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Mrs Christiana Oche, has expressed profound appreciation to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for her second official visit to Benue State and her unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

Mrs Oche, who joined the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, PhD, alongside millions of Benue citizens in welcoming the First Lady, described the visit as both inspiring and impactful. She particularly lauded the Renewed Hope Initiative, a flagship programme of the First Lady that focuses on critical sectors including education, agriculture, food security, economic empowerment, skills acquisition, healthcare, and social investment. According to her, the initiative has continued to transform lives and create opportunities for women, youths, and vulnerable groups across the country.

Speaking on the projects commissioned during the visit, Mrs Oche praised Senator Tinubu for commissioning and handing over the Community Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Ihugh, Vandeikya Local Government Area. The facility, established through a partnership between the Renewed Hope Initiative, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and the Benue State Government, is expected to provide digital learning opportunities and technological empowerment for youths, women, and other members of the community. She described the project as a commendable investment in human capital development and a practical demonstration of the First Lady’s commitment to national progress.

Mrs Oche further noted that the Renewed Hope Initiative aligns seamlessly with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, by promoting inclusive development and empowering citizens to contribute meaningfully to nation-building. She stated that the initiative remains a shining example of visionary leadership and humanitarian service. “Your Excellency, the Renewed Hope Initiative is a shining example of commitment to humanitarian causes and the empowerment of talented Nigerians who are eager to maximise the opportunities it provides,” she remarked.

The Ado Local Government First Lady also commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for commissioning ten newly completed strategic roads within Makurdi metropolis during the visit. The roads, including the Ishaya Bakut Dual Carriageway now Senator Oluremi Tinubu Road, Abu King Shuluwa Road, Three Spur Road, Dabo Plaza–Fashion Hub Road, Mama Mbateren Alia Street, Sir James Iorpuu Street, Tyagher Abua Street, and Jato-Aka Road, among others, represent a significant milestone in the ongoing infrastructural transformation of the state. She noted that the First Lady’s commendation of Governor Alia’s developmental strides further validates the administration’s commitment to people-centred governance and sustainable development.

Mrs Oche described the First Lady’s visit as a clear demonstration of her genuine love, support, and dedication to the development of Benue State. According to her, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s continued support for the state has endeared her to the people, who remain appreciative of her interventions and committed to supporting policies and programmes that advance the welfare and prosperity of Nigerians.
