The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche, has expressed deep concern over the attempted vandalisation of a community transformer in Igumale, describing the incident as a direct attack on public infrastructure and the collective wellbeing of the people of Ado Local Government Area.

The Chairman made the statement following the arrest of three suspected transformer vandals by the Igumale Vigilante Group, led by the Youth Leader and Indigenous Security Head of Igumale, Comrade Jonathan Oche Ifere, with the support of members of the community security team.

According to information available to the Council, the suspects were apprehended while allegedly attempting to steal armoured cables from a community transformer in Igumale. Their actions, if successful, would have thrown parts of the community into darkness, disrupted economic activities, and undermined the efforts of the government and the people to improve access to electricity.

Sunny Oche commended the vigilance, courage, and swift response of the Igumale Vigilante Group and the youths of the community for preventing what could have resulted in significant damage to public property.
