President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Sunday for Europe, where he will commence a three-week annual leave.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. According to the statement, the president’s first stop will be London in the United Kingdom.
Onanuga described the period as a working vacation. President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria afterward to participate fully in the campaign ahead of the January 2027 general election.
The brief statement provided no further details on the itinerary beyond the initial stop in London or the specific activities planned during the leave.
This development comes as political activities intensify in preparation for the next presidential election cycle.
