Nigerian pastor Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo has reignited the debate on the ongoing violence in the country by describing what he described as a “false victim” story of Nigeria’s ongoing ethnic killings.

Speaking passionately in a recent broadcast, Dachomo challenged those who claim Christians are killing Muslims to “prove it with resurrections or evidence,” or “give it up.” He alleged that some former Boko Haram members had infiltrated the Nigerian Army and accused the government authorities of allowing extremists to infiltrate state institutions.

The outspoken pastor set his words against the U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent condemnation of the genocide against Christians, declaring, “That’s exactly why I support Trump’s actions,  the world must see the truth.”

His strong words sparked a nationwide reaction, with Christian groups in northern Nigeria expressing solidarity, while others urged warnings about sectarianism. Meanwhile, Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka called for unity against extremists, stressing that Nigeria’s fight must be centered on fear, not beliefs.

The debate highlights how Nigeria is grappling with religious conflict, security, and competing narratives that shape global perspectives on its internal conflicts.
