US Congressman Riley Moore has declared that President Donald Trump is fully committed to stopping the violent persecution of Christians in Nigeria. The lawmaker made this known while reacting to the recent US military airstrikes against terrorist targets in Sokoto State. He emphasized that the administration would no longer tolerate the massacre of believers in the region.

Moore, a member of the United States House of Representatives, stated that the bombardment was a direct response to the persistent attacks on Christian communities. He noted that for the past two years, terrorists had launched deadly assaults on Christmas Day. According to him, the Trump administration decided to give these groups a “taste of their own medicine.”

Speaking on the coordination of the operation, Moore clarified that the United States did not act unilaterally. He confirmed that the airstrikes were executed in full collaboration with the Nigerian government. “We are doing this in coordination with the Nigerian government to help secure their country and end the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria,” he wrote in a post on X.

The lawmaker highlighted the strategic importance of the strikes, which targeted ISIS enclaves in the Bauni forest. He attached a clip of his interview on Fox News, where he reiterated that the operation was a necessary step to address the security crisis. Moore argued that the successful strikes serve as a strong message to radical Islamic terrorists operating in the area.

He further criticized those opposing the military intervention, suggesting they are merely trying to appease radical bases. Moore insisted that President Trump has finally stood up to the menace that has claimed countless innocent lives. He added, “The tables have absolutely turned this year. The Islamic terrorists in Nigeria were the ones receiving that type of present this year.”
