Engr. Sunny Oche Inaugurates Ado Solarisation Programme Implementation Committee

The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche, on Friday, July 3, 2026, inaugurated the “Operation Light Up Ado” Solarisation Programme Implementation Committee, marking another significant milestone in the Council’s efforts to improve public infrastructure, enhance community security, and promote sustainable development across the ten political wards of the Local Government Area. The inauguration further underscores the Chairman’s commitment to teamwork, transparency, inclusivity, and community-driven governance in the implementation of government programmes.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chairman explained that the committee, constituted by the Secretary to the Local Government Council, Hon. Felix Achadu, and drawn from all ten political wards, reflects his administration’s commitment to division of labour, collective responsibility, and grassroots participation. He noted that the inclusion of respected stakeholders from each ward will foster community ownership, strengthen accountability, and ensure effective supervision of the project from commencement to completion.

Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche charged the committee members to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and a strong sense of duty, ensuring that the solar street lights are strategically installed to improve security, support economic activities, and enhance the welfare of the people. He also expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, PhD., for initiating the “Operation Light Up Benue State” programme, describing it as a visionary intervention that continues to expand access to critical public infrastructure across the state.
