Monica Lewinsky Breaks Silence on Clinton Scandal: Shocking Revelations in New Podcast!

Monica Lewinsky is finally reclaiming her story—and she’s not holding back.

In her newly launched podcast, Reclaiming With Monica Lewinsky, the activist and former White House intern revisits the infamous scandal with former U.S. President Bill Clinton that rocked the nation nearly 25 years ago.

“I Fell in Love With My Boss”

Speaking candidly in the debut episode on February 17, Lewinsky, now 51, reflected on how it all began.

“I fell in love with D.C., the White House, and the job,” she admitted. “And then, very unfortunately, I fell in love with my boss—who was married and also the most powerful man in the world.”

That “inappropriate relationship,” as she calls it, lasted two years and became one of the biggest political scandals in history. When the affair became public in 1998, Lewinsky became a household name overnight. Clinton, now 77, was impeached by the House of Representatives but later acquitted in 1999, finishing his second presidential term.

The Cost of Scandal

Lewinsky’s legal battle came at a steep price—over $1 million in legal fees.

“There was just a sense of unfairness,” she shared. “I had made mistakes, but it felt like there was one set of rules for most people, and somehow, I had to abide by a different set of rules.”

Despite hoping to move on after the investigations, she soon realized the world wasn’t ready to let her.

Life in the Spotlight—With No Escape

Becoming a public figure overnight came with intense media scrutiny.

“There was a crash course I had to take in becoming a public person,” she said, recalling how paparazzi followed her every move—even outside restaurants. “My movements were incredibly restricted.”

Even after attending grad school to rebuild her career, job hunting proved impossible.

“When I came out of graduate school, I think I interviewed at maybe 50 different places, and it became clear I was not going to get a job,” she revealed. “I did all the things that were on the plan to move forward… but my family and I were at a loss.”

Battling Mental Health Struggles

The pressure and public humiliation pushed Lewinsky to dark places.

“I think what surprised me the most was that some of the hardest times were in the aftermath,” she confessed. “I didn’t realize how much I had lost until I came into my anger and my pain.”

At one point, she admitted she “couldn’t see a future” and would go to bed crying, praying, “I just didn’t want to wake up.”

Taking Back Her Power

Now, decades later, Lewinsky is using her voice to control her own narrative.

With her podcast, she aims to shed light on how public shaming impacts mental health and why it’s time to rewrite her story on her own terms.

Will Reclaiming With Monica Lewinsky finally change the way the world sees her? One thing is certain—she’s not letting anyone else tell her story ever again.
