Nigerian singer Ibrahim Owodunni, popularly known as Primeboy, has filed a N50 million lawsuit against Abosede Adeola Oluniyi (Mrs. Abosede Aloba), the mother of the late singer Mohbad. The lawsuit, filed at the High Court of Lagos State on February 12, 2025, alleges that Mrs. Aloba made defamatory and false statements about him in a video interview recorded on March 28, 2024, which was widely circulated across news and online platforms.

Primeboy claims that the statements, which were designed to tarnish his reputation, suggested that he had been involved in altercations with Mohbad prior to the singer’s death. The suit seeks N50 million in damages for the harm caused to his reputation by these “libelous” remarks.

The court document outlines that Mrs. Aloba is required to respond to the lawsuit within 42 days of service. Should she fail to do so, the court may proceed in her absence. This legal action adds to the growing list of controversies surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing and the ensuing disputes.
