Former Jigawa State Governor and PDP chieftain, Sule Lamido, has likened the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to Pharaoh’s oppressive rule, criticizing the government’s approach to governance, economy, and security.
In a candid interview, Lamido lamented the state of Nigeria’s democracy, accusing APC of weaponizing poverty to control the masses. He described the leadership as arrogant and disconnected from the struggles of everyday Nigerians, stressing that true governance should empower citizens rather than make them dependent on handouts.
On the state of the PDP, Lamido acknowledged past challenges but assured that the party is working tirelessly to reconcile and rebuild ahead of 2027. He urged Nigerians to demand accountability from the government rather than placing the burden solely on opposition parties.
As the nation approaches another election cycle, Lamido warned that a government controlled by oligarchs threatens democracy, calling for a political reset that prioritizes integrity, empathy, and the collective well-being of Nigerians.
