BETRAYAL IN UNIFORM: U.S. SOLDIERS ARRESTED IN EXPLOSIVE ESPIONAGE SCANDAL

In a stunning breach of national security, two active-duty U.S. Army soldiers and a former service member have been arrested in Oregon for allegedly selling sensitive military intelligence to China. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has identified the accused as Jian Zhao, Li Tian, and Ruoyo Duan, all charged in a high-stakes conspiracy that could have compromised America’s defense capabilities.

A Deal with the Devil?

From November 2021 to December 2024, Tian and Duan allegedly orchestrated a covert operation to smuggle top-secret military data, focusing on technical manuals and classified schematics of Bradley and Stryker U.S. Army fighting vehicles. According to the DOJ, active-duty officer Tian was the mole, supplying the sensitive data to former soldier Duan in exchange for money.

Meanwhile, Jian Zhao, an active-duty supply sergeant, reportedly engaged in a separate espionage ring, collecting and transmitting classified hard drives—including those marked ‘SECRET’ and ‘TOP SECRET’—to Chinese operatives. Zhao allegedly received at least $10,000 for these top-level secrets.

Selling Out America for a Paycheck

Beyond his treasonous trade in classified documents, Zhao is also accused of attempting to sell a stolen U.S. government computer and military intelligence related to HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System)—a system critical to U.S. military operations. In yet another chilling move, he is believed to have profited $5,000 from these illicit sales.

FBI: “We Will Hunt You Down”

Attorney General Pam Bondi delivered a scathing condemnation of the accused, declaring: “These soldiers betrayed their oath and endangered national security by handing over military secrets to China. They will face swift, severe, and comprehensive justice.”

The FBI has vowed zero tolerance for espionage. Special Agent Mike Herrington of the Seattle Field Office minced no words: “These arrests should send a message—if you dare betray your country, we will find you, track you down, and bring you to justice.”

FBI Director Kash Patel echoed the sentiment, promising “American justice will be served against those who steal our defense intelligence and empower our adversaries.”

China’s Shadow War on U.S. Soil?

This case raises alarming questions: How deep does Chinese infiltration run within the U.S. military? How many more operatives might be selling secrets for cash? The arrests of Zhao, Tian, and Duan expose a potential web of espionage that could have lasting implications for America’s national security.

As the investigation unfolds, one thing is clear: The U.S. will not tolerate traitors in uniform.

This is not just a scandal—it’s a wake-up call.
