ABUJA – A devastating fuel tanker explosion rocked the Karu Bridge area of Abuja on Wednesday night, leaving many feared dead and vehicles trapped in the inferno.

Eyewitnesses say the tanker lost control along the busy Abuja-Keffi Expressway, crashing near the bridge between Kugbo and Nyanya before erupting into flames. Several cars were reportedly caught in the explosion, with occupants struggling to escape.

As of 7:50 p.m., frantic residents were reaching out to emergency services, with fears mounting over the scale of casualties.
