According to the Ekiti State Police Command, the crime took place at about 7:10 AM on a farm in Aba Ile camp, Itaji-Ekiti.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, revealed that an eyewitness—one of the deceased’s children, provided a harrowing account of the attack.

  • The witness explained that he was working on the farm with Victor Lorjaal when the suspect suddenly left without explanation and headed toward their mother and sister, who were farming nearby.

  • Moments later, terrifying screams for help pierced the air.

  • Rushing to the scene, the eyewitness discovered a bloodbath—both Victoria and Brenda Lorjaal had been hacked to death with a cutlass.

  • The suspect fled the scene, weapon in hand, leaving his victims in pools of blood.

Police Launch Investigation, Suspect to Face Justice

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the chilling double homicide.

SP Abutu assured that the suspect, now in police custody, will face swift prosecution once investigations are complete.

“This is a deeply disturbing crime, and justice will be served,” Abutu stated.
