Tinubu Appoints Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as New NYSC DG

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), ushering in a fresh era for the scheme.

Before this appointment, Nafiu served as the Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, and previously held the same role under the late Lt. General Raised Abiodun Lagbaja.

A seasoned military officer, Nafiu is an Artillery specialist and a graduate of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, as well as the prestigious US Army War College. He also served as a Directing Staff at the Nigerian Army War College.

Hailing from Ileogbo in Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State, Brigadier General Nafiu now takes over leadership of the NYSC from Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed. His appointment takes immediate effect.
